SOWERS Outreach Ministry began from a burden to see the people of our hometown, Laredo, Texas, come to know the Lord Jesus Christ. We love this city, and we desire to see the truth of God’s Word take root in the hearts of many. Our hope is simple: that through the faithful proclamation of the gospel, many in our community would come to know Christ and grow in the knowledge of His truth.

A Burden for Our City

Laredo is home to more than 237,000 people, making it one of the largest cities in South Texas and a vibrant community filled with families, culture, and deep religious heritage. Yet, like many places across North America, many people have never clearly heard or understood the gospel of Jesus Christ. The North American Mission Board often reminds churches that millions across our continent remain unreached by the biblical gospel, and that the mission field is not only overseas—it is in our own cities and neighborhoods. That reality places a heavy burden on us for our hometown. We believe the promise the Lord gave in Acts 18:10 still gives hope today: “I have many in this city who are my people.” Because of that conviction, we desire to faithfully sow the seed of God’s Word throughout Laredo and trust the Lord to bring the harvest.
